"I often warn kids, "Somewhere along the way, someone is going to tell you, 'There is no "i" in team.'
What you should tell them is, 'Maybe not. But there is an "I" in independence, individuality and integrity."

A NEW RUN STARTING!

I have a few of the new Cold Cast Aluminum Trigun kits up on eBay!

BIN price is $149 shipped in the USA. They came out pretty nice really.

You can find them by using the eBay 'Trigun Kit' search or, e-mail me directly if you're serious about getting one now. eBay 'buy it now'
cost is currently $144.99 shipped in the USA.
Paypal payments only, sorry!

What's Cold Cast? That's when you mix Aluminum powder into the resin as it's mixed.
It's kind of tricky to get done correctly, and more time consuming than the black resin versions,
but if you can pull it off, the results are quite nice. The final result is heavier, is
slightly cold to the touch, has a slight metallic sheen and is slightly stronger as well.

On the left, current version 2.0 kit in black resin. On the right, experimental Cold Cast Aluminum kit! It looks pretty nifty in person, more metallic silver and less grey.

First Run complete!

Sold all of the last run of Trigun Kits. Thanks to everyone who bought one!
I'm hoping to spart making the next run of kits up pretty quick. Keep checking
the eBay 'Trigun Kit' search or, e-mail me directly if you're serious about getting one now. eBay 'buy it now'
cost is currently $144.00 shipped. The direct Rook's Castle price is $139.00 shipped.
Paypal payments only, sorry!

Also, I may be offering Cold Cast Aluminum kits in the near future! I've
done some experiments and they come out pretty nice. What's Cold Cast? That's when you

People have asked about shipping to Canada. Right now, with Bill C68 in place, it's illegal
to ship any replica gun to Canada. Now, if you REALLY want to take the risk, I can try shipping you
a kit. The problem is that if it's seized by customs, you lose out. I can't refund or replace the kit.
However, Airsoft guns do make it into Canada if they're clear or brightly colored.
If you want to give it a try, I'm willing to spray the kit with a blaze orange paint. Even
then, I can't be 100% sure the kit will make it. It's a 50/50 shot if the customs agent
will have a clue and allow it in. If you're willing to try it (it's YOUR money after all),
I'm willing to do the work. Shipping to Canada will cost slightly more.

In case you haven't seen the new kits, here's what they look like:

The general Info about the Trigun Pistol Kit is up here...

I have FOUR kits left from the last group I made up. Two Vash, Two Knives.
I'll be returning e-mails this coming week to those who have recently contacted me.

I currently have 4 Version 2 kits ready to go (2 Vash, 3 Knives), and a NEW set of
build instructions! The New instructions actually would be a good replacement to the originals, as
they cover certain parts of the kit build in better detail than the last version did.

Can you smell what the Rook is cookin'?

It smells a lot like resin. Phew...

Got the moulds done, and have been pressurecasting the parts. They're turning out pretty nice over all.
For those who don't know, pressure casting is done by adding air pressure to liquid resin, reducing
and usually eliminating most surface bubbles! This gives you a pretty nice casting most of the time.

Unfortunately, It takes 4X as long to do castings as it used to. That's the price of higher quality I guess.
I've been working on some more sections of my collection : Space Above and Beyond is totally new,
While I updated the Indiana Jones and Starship Troopers sections with new information.

"Happy New Year!"

Happy New Year!! Best wishes to all the visitors to this site now and in the coming year!
While you're here, I'd like to coerce you into visiting the sites of some friends of mine...

  • Scifimilitary.com is a military themed movie prop and costuming community.
  • The Aliens Legacy is as above, but devoted to the 'Alien' series of films, and focusing on the James Cameron film 'Aliens.'
  • Scifihero.net is a general movie costuming site and community.

My pal Alex. Sorry ladies, he's got a girlfriend. ^_^

And just because I like these pictures, on the right is myself with Kristin (owner of www.swchick.com) in her Starship Troopers 'Casual' uniform.
She and all of her crew were very positive and a pleasure to meet. A really nice bunch of people. On the right is myself and
'Loki' in his custom built Aliens 'Bug' suit. Also, a great guy! He also does Starship Troopers costuming.
No actual Aliens were harmed in the making of this photo. ^_^

Rick 'Ripstick', Art aka 'Brak's Buddy' in the center and myself stage right.

Rick actually MADE the colonial marine armor he's wearing out of metal! The man's got skills!

Art's Starship Troopers uniform is screen used from the motion picture. Very cool stuff!
I'm going to slowly be building my own Starship Troopers uniform.

As always, I'll update the site when I have more concrete info on the new kits,
and thanks for visiting Rook's Castle! ^_^
