What a crazy ride it's been...

Summer sure flew by didn't it, and now fall! Today it's sunny and 60 degrees! Unheard of tempratures for NOVEMBER
in Minnesota!

So, what have I been doing with myself since the last update...

Been slowly working on my Indy guns still. I almost have the run of 50 completed that I started 3 years ago.
I've also been tinkering on my arcade stuff. I finally found another Tron arcade cabinet,
but it has problems. I also started construction of my video pinball/Visual Pinball cabinet
using the gutted Doctor Who cabinet I bought back in 2005. I have it all torn apart
and have cut out replacement panels for the bottom, front and back sides.

I haven't been doing anything with the Trigun kits. Sorry to all of you who are
looking for one! It's such a complex casting project with Sooooo many parts that I'm
just not feeling the love any more. Heck, I don't even have a completed Trigun pistol
for myself! I'm probabaly going to increase the price to justify the crazy labor
involved in casting them. After figuring all the time it takes to make one, I'm making
like $3 an hour by making them. At that price it's not worth it to me, no matter how much
I like people to have them. I may end up selling the moulds in the future. If I do they'll
likely cost about $1,000. Sounds like a lot, but iif you sell the kits for $150 as I have done,
You'll pay the moulds off in less than 7 kits. Something to think about anyway.

I hope you're all having a nice Late Fall/early winter and As always,
thanks for visiting Rook's Castle!

Stargate SG1 OD Green Offworld Jackets for sale!

These are the SciFiHero.net G8 WEP Stargate SG-1 Offworld jackets!
These jackets are the result of years of research, comparison with the nylon versions
of the WEP G8 jackets, as well as checking details against show used jackets for details
and velcro placement and sizing.

The jackets come with a removeable liner that once removed will make the jacket a light weight
jacket. The inside of the jacket and the liner are diamond stitched, come only in black and vest
is held in by velcro. Both the jacket and the liner come with a 6" x 6" inside pocket.

This is a good 3 season jacket. With the liner installed, the jackets are comfortable down to appx.
35 Degrees F. Without the liner it's quite comfortable until the temps get high enough where you wouldn't
wear a jacket. Just like anything.

I wear my jacket for costuming purposes and also as a daily wear jacket from March to November,
in Northern Minnesota, USA.

Jackets are in stock and can be shipped out in a few days. Most patches are in stock, but if
not they can he added within a few days.

The velcro patches are matched to the show jackets and even come with an "X" stitching in the middle
of all of the velcro patches.

The jackets come in Olive Drab Green (OD Green) RipStop material, and we have a small number in
Black Ripstop as well.

And it seemed like only yesterday it was February...

Boy, it seems like I'm always online and I never update this stuff. I used to
spend all my available free time adding and updating, but not so much anymore.

To answer questions, I'm still out here. I DO plan on making more Trigun Kits.
No, I don't know when. I apologize to those who contacted me prior to Comicon,
but this year the Mrs. wanted to remodel the kitchen, so that's where I've been
spending time. Too much time. And money.

I've invested in some new moulding/casting equipment that should allow me to
make better items. I'm also "planning" on doing single piece solid cast replicas
at a lower price point than my other uber replicas.

The Black Lagoon project has been pushed back due to circumstances beyond
my control.

I will be attending Dragon*Con in Atlanta in the beginning of September.
I'll be shooting video and photos for Scifihero.net and also for
The Aliens Legacy.Com. Feel free to stop by the
fan club tables and say "Hi!"

I hope you're all having a nice Later Summer/Fall, and As always,
thanks for visiting Rook's Castle!

Slower than mole-asses in January...

My friend Justin pointed out to me that my web site hadn't been updated in...
oh, nine months or so... Oops! Yep, I'm still alive and I DO actually read any e-mails
I receive. For those still intersted, I do plan on making a small run of Trigun kits
this spring/summer. In case everyone is wondering why I haven't been selling them, despite
the interest, I've been involved a long term run of 50 kits of another gun. Since I
only have perhaps one day a week to work on them, it's been slow going. I have 12
guns sitting on the bench needing finishing right now.

So I AM actually doing things, just not as much as I would hope to be doing.
This year (2009) will also see the introduction of a new resin kit from me:

The Black Lagoon Beretta 92F Sword Cutlass pistol!

This will be a solid, cold cast Aluminum kit in 4 parts (Barrel, grip frame
and seperate grip panels and screws). Estimated cost will be appx. $80.
I will also be selling the faux ivory 'Calico Jack' Skull & crossed swords
grip panels seperately. These can be easily modified to fit most any airsoft
92F or M9 pistol that has removeable grips!

As far as overall site updates, I will be adding additional updates to the
Indiana Jones props page, and the Mad Max page as well, just not today.
So, that's all the updates for now. ^_^

I'm still alive... and busy!

I hope you're all having a nice spring, and As always,
thanks for visiting Rook's Castle!
